Wait! Microsoft HAD a streaming service?
You can’t fault Microsoft for trying, but Groove Music, its Spotify competitor, never took off. Today, the company is admitting defeat. Microsoft today announced it will soon shutter both its Groove Music Pass streaming service and the ability to purchase songs and albums in the Windows Store. — TechCruch
Netflix has raised prices on two of its plans.
The streaming provider raised the price of its Standard plan to $10.99 per month from $9.99 per month. The popular plan allows viewers to watch content on two screens at the same time. The Premium plan, which offers streaming on four simultaneous screens and 4K video, jumped in price to $13.99 from $11.99 monthly. The basic plan for one-screen streaming remains at $7.99. — Fortune
